My core values, words I desire to live by...

Companies and institutions develop core values or principles. Often they rarely live up to them. I too have core values which I try very hard to live up to. By publishing them perhaps then others will read it and remind me if I am not up to my own standards. Everyone needs accountability. I'll paraphrase what Paul said in his letter to the believers in Rome: I know what is good but I don't always do it, what I know to be bad, this I keep on doing.

So here it goes:

#1. To treat others with respect and dignity. To never belittle a person.

#2. To never be wise in my own eyes.

#3. To be truthful and trustworthy.

#4. To be a good steward(morally, financially, etc.).

#5. To never hold a grudge.

#6. To always give my best effort in anything I do.

#7. To love people just the way they are. Not their attitudes or actions but the actual human being.

#8. Leave room for God's judgement and not to try and do his job for him.

#9. Pray regularily, not out of habit but out of desire.

#10. Read my bible every day.

#11. To be open minded when it comes to people and concepts.

#12. To be an active listener/good communicator.

Please, if any of you who read this know me outside of the cyber world would remind me of this if you see me not living up to it I would very much appreciate it.

Thank you!

Blessings, James
